Outdoor Bonaire is the only
company on the island specialised in different types of outdoor
activities. Everything is on a private basis (always small
groups so you enjoy nature at its best). The tours vary from
mangrove kayaking (day and night), cave exploration and snorkling
in its crystal clear waters, rapelling from a lighthouse,
hiking and birdwatching (in the national park), mountain biking
and top rope climbing on lime stone walls. Or if you want
to sit back and relax and enjoy Bonaire than we can drive
you around in a comfortable way.
Mangrove kayaking:
Enjoy the nursery room of bonaire's reeffishes
from a kayak.
This inpenetrable mangrove forest is best seen from a kayak
which glides smoothly through the tranquil waters.
You will see groups of juvenile fishes, hunting pelicans,
different herons and egrets and turtles. An internationaly
protected area not to be forgotten easily.
You want to do something different; try this
in the night.
An unforgettable experience!
Caving:
As Bonaire is mainly made out of limestone Bonaire
is home to hundreds of caves. A few of them can be seen by
visitors. You will visit 2 different caves which are very
different from another. The first cave is full of dripping
stones and rare excentriques. In the second cave you can swim
in beautiful clear water and see cave shrimps.
Climbing:
New on Bonaire is top rope rock climbing. Climb
on almost virgin walls in a natural surrounding sheltered
from the sun.
Easy to almost inpossible routes are possible. A great sport!
National Park:
You can enjoy the park in a few different ways.
Relaxed from a car, on a mountain bike or do a combination
of driving and hiking. This not to be missed park is a must.
See the rough interior, enjoy the wild coast. Climb or hike
the Brandaris, Bonaire's highest mountain (241 meter) and
have a great view all over the island. Dive into the Caribbean
Sea and watch flamingo's passing by. Just do it!
Rapelling:
On a very secluded spot of Bonaire there is
an old lighthouse from which you can rapell down. While enjoying
a fantastic view of the east coast you can do this exhilarating
ride also HEAD FIRST! (e.g. the Australian Rapell). If you
have a pace maker this may not be what you are looking for...
Mountain Biking:
Bonaire is the ideal spot for mountain biking
because of the many dirt roads we have. It is also the best
way to see the other side of the island. If you don't mind
to loose a sweat try this and see how the locals live. Also
a great way to see a lot from the wildlife on the island.
